Burgess will manage the project of 110m/361ft superyacht JUBILEE as she enters her 12-month refit at top Northern European yard Lürssen.

Following the sale of JUBILEE in November 2018 by the Burgess brokerage team, her new owners have appointed Burgess Technical Services (BTS) to project manage her comprehensive refit. Having worked on JUBILEE since the design phase for the original owner, her DNA is deeply ingrained within the team.

The yacht was built for the late Emir of Qatar and Jubilee was sold to billionaire Stan Kroenke, who also owns the 281′ yacht Aquila together with his wife Ann Walton. The yacht was listed for sale asking EUR 275 million (approx. US$310 million). She accommodates 31 guests in 16 cabins and 45 crew in 24 cabins. Jubilee also features an entirely private owner’s deck.

JUBILEE arrived at Lürssen in the spring of 2019 to undergo the major refurbishment. While the refit will be challenging, Lürssen is confident all works will be finished, and the yacht returned to the owner in time for summer cruising in 2020.

Jonathan Beckett, Burgess CEO commented, “JUBILEE is extremely close to our hearts. We sold the original project, managed the build process and delivered her in 2017 as the largest yacht to emerge from The Netherlands. She then joined our managed fleet, before we sold her again in 2018, making it the largest deal of the year. I am now very proud to announce BTS will project manage her refit. I am extremely excited to see the result in 2020.”
