Heesen Yachts’ 55m (180ft) superyacht Vida will make her official debut this September at Monaco Yacht Show 2019.
Designed with a dream in mind, her American owner, a world-famous sport fishing champion, worked with Heesen to install special features to create her as the mothership for his sport fishing fleet, in his pursuits of the elusive black marlin and game fish in the exotic climes of Costa Rica, Bermuda and other far-flung destinations. With a maximum speed of 16 knots, she has the remarkable capacity to re-charge two smaller boats, enabling the whole fleet to remain out at sea for days on end.
Vida is the newest in Heesen’s 55m FDHF Steel class, which features muscular exterior lines by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. Her design is characterised by floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light to flood the interiors and her décor has been imagined by Be Design Associates. Twelve guests can be accommodated in five spacious suites and a magnificent 80m² owner’s stateroom. Special design features include a stunning backlit ivory onyx arch wine cellar, a 100m² sun deck, with a bar, swimming pool and mesmerizing waterfall, the beach club, gym and swim platform providing easy access to the ocean.
